good deed of the day

Even though this blog is on what we do in Africa I want it to be for people listing the good deeds they do every day for man. In the long run wherever people need help and hope if you can help please do. Today my good deed was that one of my friends got laid off his job. I train people at Golds gym in the morning for a couple hours , I will give him the money I make until he gets another job. He is a good man with a family . He did not want to take it because of his pride but I said that if it was me I would hope someone would help me. So he took it and I said just when you get on your feet just help someone else. That made me feel good . I am lucky and I know it and appreciate my situation in life. Years ago my brother was in the same situation and I went about it the wrong way and he ended up killing himself, I wont make the same mistake again.
Unhtil tomorrow goodnight

Lets do something big for mankind before we leave

It is a snowy day in va. and I have a little time before I walk out the door. I was just thinking that life is uncertain and I dont know the the that will be my last , so I would like to think and do something good for mankind everyday. Last year we did a fast for the hungry people in Africa. We raised about 20,000 dollars . That was good but this year I would like to raise about 100,000 . We went without eating anything and only drinking water for 5 days. We were and I mean DR.GIPSON AND DR. SAM RICHARDS along with students from AU. made it. I did not miss food as much as I thought .The 5th day I did start dreaming about food. I lost 18 pounds and everybody else lost alot too. But it was for a good cause and people are able to eat because we didnt . Because people dont see the starving in other countries they dont think about it but just remember we were lucky to be born in this country we were not special

Making a better world

Kermit washington,
This is the first of my blogs about what Project Contact does in Africa. It all began in 1994 in Rwanda ,I went there with the Northwest medical team during the war. I had just donated some money to help the people of that war torn country. My daughter told me I had better do something and she was right. So I headed over with the team to see what we could do. It was a long trip but when we got there it was 100 times worse then we had thought. Bodies were laying along side of the roads. And the reason was is that they had pushed the people into Goma Zaire . This area was a place where there had been a volcano and the ground was as hard as rock so you could not dig graves. I stayed for about 5 days and then realized my strengths was to help raise money to help . At that point I knew how lucky I was to be born in America , things there were so bad it was hard to explain to people who were not there. So in my blog every day I will tell a little more about how we got started and where we are now. We have a clinic in Kenya along with a school and we are feeding about 500 people a day. Tell you more later

Rezcandles.com Donates 10% of Profits from Their Website

Rezcandles Custom Candle Company has decided to donate 10% of all Profits from their retail website to our cause. They also handle all of the Foundation's eBay sales. I am the owner of Rezcandles.com and i maintain for free, Project Contact's Myspace, Main Website, eBay Sales as well as YouTube pages.

Ideas to help support charities

In this blog we will also be talking about helping other charities raise funds using eBay. There are a lot of sellers that would have no issues donating items to eBay sales when they know it will not cost them anything to resell the item if it does sell on Auction. We purchase numerous things and have costs for those items. We resell them on eBay and being a registered Member of Missionfish.org, we get 100% of our Insertion Fees and Final Value Fees refunded when an auction sells. This is a big plus as there is NO OTHER auction site with the reach of eBay that offers this benefit for Charity Sellers.

If anyone has any questions on how they can help us by becoming a Direct Seller for us or how they would like to help another charity they work for save money selling on eBay, just post any comments here.

Basic Introduction to The 6th Man Foundation

We are a 501(c)3 charity that is doing a great deed for people that have AIDS in Kenya. We have a School, Medical Center and Community center in which we are now feeding over 500 families and schooling their children as well as keeping the Rampant diseases at bay by supplying regular access to medicine for the locals. We are currently supporting the most we can support and wish to use this blog to raise funds so we can double our capacity by the end of 2009.

Please help us in any way shape or form. We take monetary as well as merchandise donations. Sell items on ebay to benefit our charity and if anyone becomes a regular contributor to our cause will get recognition on our website.
