WEEKLY REPORT AS AT 7th to 13th FEBRUARY 2011

THE CLINIC

The number of patients this week was 19, antenatal 2 and 6 maternity cases.  There was a decrease in the number of patients; I think it is because of the dry season where there is a lot of power rationing and starvation that goes along with the locals’ income as the cost of living has gone up.

INCOME:
Outpatients only managed to raise USD 466.73 while maternity USD 142.85

EXPENSES:
Expenses totaled USD 537.85 amongst is an expense on the clinical officer’s annual licenses renewal.

We also paid our staffs as follows

Boice Kitavi                     -            USD 227.82
Solomon – lab                -             USD 215.51
Selestine – Nurse Aid   -             USD 184.72
Rhoda Khasandi           -              USD   80.04
Ken – Security               -              USD   80.04
Caro – cleaner               -              USD   73.89
Florence Muyundo       -              USD 184.72
Rosemary                       -              USD   86.20

January was low and also February is still low.

WEEKLY REPORT AS AT 31st JANUARY TO 6TH FEB 2011

THE CLINIC

The number of patients this week was 23 while maternity 10.

INCOME:
Outpatients only managed to raise USD 388.37 while maternity only USD 347.08

EXPENSES:
Expenses totaled USD 2579.35 this you will verify the details from pages 3 and 4.

STAFF:
Rosemary – this time I will write about myself. – I fell sick seriously, now running to the second week.  My left leg started swelling and when I went to see a doctor, I was told I had blood clot in one of the veins.  It has been very painful but now I am recovering.  I used to go to the clinic for a few hours and then go back to the house for bed rest.
I thank all the staff that were concerned and made phone calls and some made it to my house.  I thank Lydia who has been very helpful and now I am back on my feet.

WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME
The Government decided to send their community Health Works to the clinic to work with Hendricka but Florence turned them away.  We don’t know what reaction they are going to take, whether they will pull our centre from their food distribution.

DONATIONS

We received yesterday from Kermit Washington
$ 1,100 dollars for clinic rent
$ 200 dollars for Solomon Lab
$ 60 dollars for Rosemary

LEARNING CENTRE

During the week the children were well apart from one who was sick and was hospitalized at the clinic for two days.

Kileleshwa students -   The uniform issue has been left pending according to the teacher, since the Headmistress has not been able to discuss with Barasa.  The mainly affected were the girls tunics.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Their Thursday meetings went on well.  The number is increasing and this is making us very happy.
