GEORGE TOWN GROUP

They arrived at the centre at 9.30 a.m Kenyan time, led by the group leader Bob. They were met by Florence and invited to the clinic.

Introduction was done and then a brief tour at the clinic and later entertained by the children and the support group.
They joined the children and gave them several gifts including sports uniforms to all the children both from Kileleshwa, Learning Centre and the two students from the local school. There was Learning material including biro pens, pencils etc.
The support Group was not left out as they bought their handcrafts, which included necklaces, baskets and carvings.

Lunch – This arrangement had been done earlier by the group leader and the teacher, so the driver was sent to collect packed chips, + chicken that were enough for all the children, the visitors themselves and the clinic staffs and the Nairobi university students.

After lunch the whole group, the teachers, the children toured the community.

Bob invited Florence to come forward and receive a cash donation which George Town students had contributed.  Florence received a total of USD 420 dollars in denominations ranging from 1 dollar, to 20, 50 and 100 which she changed and amounted to USD 415.61.
Florence bought drugs with USD 224.84 while the remaining 190.77 will be used to buy clients food and distributed during their Thursday meetings.
